Great news early again this year! The highly endangered North Atlantic Right Whales have appeared in the Bay of Fundy once again and have been sighted since Friday! Whale sightings this season have been phenomenal, an early start with Minke whales in May kicked things off, now with all four species August, September and October are sure to be unbelievable!

Here are some photos that have been taken over this summer!

What A Magnificent Day On The Bay!

WOW...What a day!
We are so excited to let all the folks calling and e-mailing us for updates on our sightings that TODAY WE GOT TO OBSERVE 4 OR 5 FIN WHALES, A MINKE WHALE AND A HUMPBACK WHALE, that showed off a little with a full breach, that's when they jump clear out of the water! We also saw lots and lots of seals, porpoise, an eagle and Northern Gannets.
This is going to be a great season with all the activity on the Bay and the whales showing up early, don't forget to call ahead to book your seats, you won't be disappointed.
We look forward to taking you Cruisin' with the Whales!

Good news for the North Atlantic Right Whale!

Earlier today I was sent a link from a friend who knows of my passion for marine life, I wanted to share the encouraging news with you folks as well!

CBC News:
"Record number of calves born this year".
"Thirty years of conservation efforts in the Bay of Fundy appear to be paying off for the North Atlantic Right Whale, one of the rarest large mammals on earth, scientist's say. The species, once headed for extinction, is experiencing a baby boom, with 39 calves born this year, and 37 of them surviving. The previous record was 31, set in 2001".

To be able to help educate the public about these magnificent creatures and their endangered status really makes our job worth while! Keep checking in, more photos of the amazing sightings we've been having to come ( lots of humpbacks in the area!!!)

Cheers!
